Keratin Hair Smoothing Treatments – Formaldehyde Free
Our Keratin Blowout Smoothing Treatments are an innovative process that transforms the hair in its entirety. The treatments are keratin based, which is the primary protein of the skin, hair and nails. This natural substance gives hair the ability to return to its original healthy, shiny, smooth state. It acts as a protective shield against humidity, the primary cause of frizz. Over time, the hair loses keratin from exposure to the sun, the environment, styling and chemical services.
Unlike other products available on the market, such as relaxers or the Japanese thermal conditioning; our keratin treatments smooth the hair without damaging or changing its texture. By replenishing lost keratin, smoothing treatments help repair damage, lock out humidity to reduce unwanted frizz, and give the hair increased manageability and styling versatility.
Our treatment helps to rebuild strength and restore smoothness and elasticity to the hair, giving it a more youthful, healthy appearance.
The treatment can be used on all hair types, including chemically treated hair (colored, permed, relaxed, highlighted and bleached).
Because our treatments do not have Formaldehyde it will not straighten your hair flat and lifeless but it will leave it straighter and smoother. Smoothing treatments reduce curl patterns in curly, wavy or unruly hair. They provide a straightening effect without permanently changing the structure of the hair. If you have frizzy or tight curls it will loosen and smooth them which you can just wash and leave plus it makes it VERY easy to blow-dry straight.
The process takes anywhere between 1 hour for the Keratin Blowout Smoothing Treatment – Mini to 3 hours for the Keratin Blowout Smoothing Treatment – Maxi depending on the length and thickness of the hair.
After the product is applied, it is sealed with a flat iron which traps moisture, hydrates the hair, and creates an amazing glossy finish. Results are visible immediately after treatment is completed, clients are amazed to say the least, and hair looks healthy and glossy. Taking care of the hair after the treatments are applied is effortless. The amount of time required to style hair will decrease dramatically. In some cases its wash and go, others require some blow drying and minimum styling time. This treatment restores hair resiliency: humidity, rain, or sweat will no longer leave you with wild frizzy hair!
The results last up to six weeks for the Mini and up to five months for the Maxi, the treatment fades progressively as hair is washed.
- After a Mini treatment, we recommend a waiting period of at least eight hours before shampooing. You may extend the waiting period if desired without affecting your results.
- After a Maxi Smoothing Treatment there is a 72 hour waiting period, where your hair should not get the hair wet.
Consistent use of keratin-enhanced products, including sodium chloride-free and sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners, prolong the results of your treatment. By repeating the treatment regularly, you will be able to observe the improved quality of hair grown after the treatments are applied.
Keratin Treatment or Color First?
You should apply your hair color first, followed by the keratin treatment. If you’ve already undergone a keratin treatment, be sure to wait two weeks before you dye your hair.
